Socketing Gems

Well Cataclysm's been out for about 2-3 months now and i'll only be wrighting guides and tips on that when Trinity Core supports it, for those who don't know of private servers, they require Cores to run on but as cataclysm is still so fresh the cores are VERY buggy, yes there are cores that support it but try leaving your starting area and well, not easy... But nevertheless we (Hackers =D / Crackers) will prevail.

Now this months topic (sorry its a bit late) is Socketing =) Pretty simple concept, Jewelcrafters get raw gems for cheapish, charge you rediculously for a cut gem, now this may seem unfair but can give you a MAJOR boost, they are like second enchants, How cool! ...
1. Firstly get yourself a gem, but dont waste money or gems, buy a gem tha fits your class. For example theres no point in putting an agility gem in a mage or putting a spellpower gem in worrior... Bring on da next step!
2. Get yourself some decent socket armour or weapon THAT HAS A SOCKET THAT SUPPORTS THE GEM YOU BOUGHT, like before get some armour that suits your class and has nice enchants and abilities.
3. "Shift - Right Click" the socket weapon or armour to bring up the Gem interface.
4. Drag the gem from your inventory into the appropriate slot, if successful you will see some little star spec-like things floating around that socket.
5. Confirm the socket postions.
6. And Voilah!

Well now enjoy your socket armour that you get, and remember you only get sockets at around lvl 60! See you all next month, REMEMBER you can email me at Epitwink@yahoo.com if you have questions or if you have a topic in mind and a few nice idea's

Guilds

What makes a good guild great?

I recently started a personal bank guild for just my alt's and within a week i was doing well with my guild, but something was missing, i earned achievments and no grats or sense of accomplishment, no friendly hello's or hi's...

baisically life was dull, not many of my friends were online to talk to, so i decided, can this I'll leave the guild to my alts, contacted my old guild master and was welcomed with open arms, got grats on achievments, i was happy...

whenever i needed help, it was there. i could chat to my friends and guildies, this made me think,"What makes a good guild great?" I'll tell you...

1. Social: The MOST important part of a guild, great people, kind and friendly. People who are always willing to lend a hellping hand, and to give you that sense of acomplishemnt when earning an achievment or winning that BG evryones been struggling with to getting your first Epic item drop...

2. Orginised: One thing that makes a good guild great, is being orginised. Guild tabs are orginised, promotions given when u deserve them and rude members and guild robbers kicked, and even if your guild is big enough, a website which is always nice to have, so you can PM a member if the server is down or you don't have access to a PC...

3. Activeness: A great guild needs alot active members, they have events and raids together, people stick together and don't just leave the guild, members participate and enjoy themselves...

4. Fun: A great guild and its members need to HAVE FUN! enjoy themselves, have good laughs together!

Theese are the four most important parts that makes for a Great guild, without a great guild what else is there?

A special thanx to Elitus Guild (spermik) for showing me how important it is being a part of a GREAT guild like you guys! =)
